About · International Bible Seminary

Established in 2007, International Bible Seminary equips Christians for
ministry through Slavic Christian education — bachelor's and master's programmes,
one-year certificates and short courses, taught on site across the United States
and online.

Our mission

Through spiritual education, to prepare Christians for service to the Church and
society in the 21st century.

Our values

God-centeredness. We believe that God is the only Creator — the beginning, the meaning and the ultimate goal of all that exists. We love and glorify the Creator, make God's Name known, investigate His works, affirm His Kingdom.
Biblical foundation. The Bible is the only criterion of faith and knowledge of God, the written revelation of God. We study and practice Christian teaching based on the Bible, the two-thousand-year continuity of the Christian faith, and generally accepted principles of scriptural interpretation.
Practicality. We strive to embody our values and priorities in order to be likened to the Son of God — Jesus Christ.

A nationwide teaching network

IBS does not teach from one campus. Sessions run in partner churches across the
country, so students can study close to home while staying in their own
congregations. Recent cohorts and graduations have been hosted in:

Ukraine — Rivne, through a joint master's programme

Academic partnerships

Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (Springfield, Missouri) — memorandum of cooperation signed in July 2025, supporting a Slavic master's track
Rivne Theological Seminary (Ukraine) — joint master's programme
Khmelnytskyi Humanitarian-Pedagogical Academy (Ukraine) — chaplaincy training, with administrative support from the Christian Rescue Service

In February 2026, IBS leadership met chaplains of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at
the 20th Anniversary Prayer Breakfast of Ukrainian Week in Washington, DC, to
begin master's-level training for the military chaplaincy service.

Recent milestones

May 2026 — graduation at Seattle Bethany Church for the Women's Ministry, Preaching and Foundations of Faith programmes; more than 70 women from 10 states completed the year
June 2026 — 30+ young adults completed the year-long English-language "Foundations of Faith" programme
August 2025 — the Department of Chaplaincy was founded under Dr. Oleg Tsymbalyuk
September 2025 — the Women's Ministry Programme launched, drawing 100+ women to its first subject
